Leeds United are interested in signing Arkadiusz Milik from Napoli in the summer transfer window, according to NapoliMagazine. The promoted Premier League club are in a battle with Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United and Fulham to sign the striker whose proposed move to AS Roma on a season-long loan deal has fallen through.
Milik is one of the better strikers in Serie A and is a proven goalscorer at the top level. According to WhoScored, the 26-year-old Poland international striker scored 11 goals in Serie A and three goals in the Champions League last season, while in 2018-19, he scored 17 goals and provided three assists in the league.
Leeds have signed Rodrigo from Valencia this summer, but the Spain international striker is not very prolific and was mainly deployed out wide last season. While Patrick Bamford has started the season strongly and is a very good striker, Marcelo Bielsa’s side need to sign another quality player upfront.
