Leeds United are interested in signing Ben Godfrey from Everton in the January transfer window, according to Football Insider. The report has claimed that Championship club Leeds want to sign Godfrey on a loan deal from Premier League outfit Everton with an option to make it permanent in the summer of 2024.
The report has claimed that Leeds are in talks with Everton over a move for Godfrey. Everton manager Sean Dyche has given the green light for the 26-year-old to leave the Merseyside club in the middle of the season. The Englishman has made one start and one substitute appearance in the Premier League and has played once in the Carabao Cup this campaign.
Leeds are fourth in the Championship table at the moment with 54 points from 28 matches, five points behind second-placed Ipswich Town. Meanwhile, Everton currently find themselves 17th in the Premier League table with 17 points from 21 games, a point above the relegation zone.
