According to The Mirror, Leeds United are interested in signing Patrick van Aanholt in the summer of 2021. The left-back is out of contract at Crystal Palace at the end of the season, and Premier League rivals Leeds are reportedly interested in securing the services of the 30-year-old left-back.
Leeds head coach Marcelo Bielsa is on the hunt for a new left-back and has identified the former Chelsea man as a potential target, according to the report. The 30-year-old will become a free agent in a few months’ time, and the West Yorkshire club want to bring him to Elland Road.
Van Aanholt is one of the better left-backs in the Premier League and knows the division inside out. The former Sunderland star is good going forward and is also brilliant defensively, and given that he is at the peak of his career, he would be able to make an immediate impact at Elland Road.
