Leeds United are interested in signing Matt Targett from Aston Villa in the summer transfer window, according to 90min. Targett is on loan at Newcastle from Villa at the moment and is scheduled to return to his parent club at the end of the season.
Targett scored one goal and gave one assist in 17 Premier League appearances for Villa in the first half of the season before making the loan transfer to Newcastle in the January transfer window. The 26-year-old left-back has played 12 times in the Premier League for Newcastle during his loan spell so far.
90min have added that Newcastle and Villa have a broad agreement over Targett making the loan deal permanent for £15 million. Newcastle manager Eddie Howe himself is keen for a deal to be done.
