Leeds United are interested in signing Omar Colley from Sampdoria in the January transfer window, according to TEAMtalk. It has been reported that Leeds wanted to sign the 29-year-old defender last season and are back in the race for the Gambia international.
Sampdoria are willing to sell Colley in the January transfer at the right price. Colley will be involved with Gambia at the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations, but that is not a problem for Leeds. The 29-year-old centre-back has made 17 starts and one substitute appearance in Serie A so far this season. Colley made 28 starts and one substitute appearances in the league last season, scoring two goals in the process.
Leeds are struggling in the Premier League at the moment and are in real danger of getting relegated to the Championship at the end of the season. The Whites have had defensive problems as well, with Liam Cooper and Robin Koch on the sidelines.
