Leeds United are among the clubs who are interested in signing James McAtee from Manchester City in the January transfer window, according to CaughtOffSide. The report has claimed that Leeds, who are playing in the Championship, are looking to get a loan deal done for McAtee.
Daniel Farke’s side, though, are not going to find it easy to get a deal done with City, who won the Premier League title last season. West Ham United, Celtic, Lens, Lille, Southampton, Nottingham Forest, Leicester City, Feyenoord, VfB Stuttgart and Girona all are monitoring the 22-year-old English midfielder.
McAtee has been on the books of City since 2013 and has come through the Citizens’ youth academy. The midfielder had a loan spell at Sheffield United in 2022-23 and then again in 2023-24. The 22-year-old has played just one minute in the Premier League and has scored one goal in 52 minutes in the UEFA Champions League for the Citizens so far this campaign.
