According to The Mirror (print edition, page 74, October 4, 2020), Leeds United are planning to make a late move for Liverpool defender Yasser Larouci. The left-back wants to leave the defending Premier League champions before the summer transfer window closes on Monday, and Leeds head coach Marcelo Bielsa hopes to bring him to Elland Road, with the Reds willing to let him leave as well.
The 19-year-old is a very talented and promising young player who was a winger in his past, but he has altered his game to become a left-back now. With Andy Robertson the clear first-choice left-back at Liverpool and summer signing Kostas Tsimikas his back-up, it is going to be extremely hard for the teenager to get much playing time.
Leeds head coach Bielsa is known for developing young players, and under the Argentine, Larouc could flourish and establish himself as a professional. The Whites are playing in the Premier League this season after winning automatic promotion from the Championship.
