Leeds United could make a move for Todd Cantwell of Norwich City, according to The Yorkshire Post. It has been reported that the Premier League club are looking for an attacking midfielder to provide cover for the 35-year-old Pablo Hernandez and have identified Cantwell as a potential transfer target.
Although the ‘international’ summer transfer window has closed, clubs from the Premier League can still trade with EFL teams, which means that there is still time for Leeds to sign the 22-year-old midfielder. The Canaries are playing in the Championship this season after getting relegated from the Premier League, and they may not be in a position to turn down a good offer.
According to WhoScored, Cantwell has played twice in the Championship for Norwich so far this season. During the 2019-20 campaign, the 22-year-old made 30 starts and seven substitute appearances in the Premier League, scoring six goals and providing two assists in the process, according to WhoScored.
