Leeds United are interested in signing Andrew Omobamidele from Nottingham Forest in the January transfer window, according to The Sun. The report in the British tabloid has claimed that Leeds, who are playing in the Championship this season, have opened talks with Premier League side Forest over a deal for Omobamidele.
The report has claimed that Forest have made Omobamidele available for a loan deal with a guaranteed buy. The Reds, who are aiming to finish in the top four of the Premier League table this season, are hoping to get £10 million in transfer fees for the 22-year-old defender. Leeds are keen on a deal for the youngster, but so are Sheffield United.
Omobamidele has been on the books of Forest since the summer of 2023 when he joined from Norwich City. The defender has made 16 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career. Omobamidele has scored one goal in those games.
