Leeds United are among the clubs who are interested in signing Lyon striker Moussa Dembele in the summer transfer window, according to journalist Ekrem Konur on Twitter. The former Celtic striker is leaving Lyon on a free transfer, and, according to Konur, Leeds are keen on bringing the Frenchman to Elland Road for next season and beyond.
However, Leeds are going to find it tough to convince Dembele to move to Elland Road. Not only have the Whites been relegated to the Championship, but they are also facing competition from AC Milan, Everton, Aston Villa and West Ham United among other clubs for the signature of the French striker.
Dembele made eight starts and 15 substitute appearances in Ligue 1 for Lyon this season. The striker scored three goals in those games. The 26-year-old made 25 starts and five substitute appearances in the league last season, scoring 21 goals and providing four assists in those matches.
