Legrottaglie: We have strong enough defence

Juventus defender Nicola Legrottaglie insists the club does not need to sign any new defenders in the January transfer window.

The Old Lady have been linked with William Gallas and Daniel Agger.

“It’s the first time that I have heard those two names linked with Juventus,” Legrottaglie claimed in Tuttosport.

“I’m not really interested in that kind of talk, but I am a fan of Juve and so I am in favour of any transfers that can help the side improve.

“However, there would be absolutely no guarantee that the new men would take the place of the existing players,

“They would have to fight me for a place, just as with Olof Mellberg.

“We are the second best defence in Serie A and I don’t think we have any need for strengthening in the defensive department.”
