Leicester 1/1 to beat Everton and over 1.5 goals in Sunday’s Premier League showdown

Competition: Premier League

Market: Leicester win and over 1.5 goals

Odds: 1/1 @ Bet 365

Looking to pile more pressure onto Marco Silva, a high-flying Leicester will welcome an under-fire Everton to the King Power on Sunday afternoon.

Starting with the hosts, picking up a 2-0 win away at Brighton last weekend, Leicester have continued to take the Premier League by storm since bringing in Brandan Rodgers. Now sat only behind league leaders Liverpool and winning their last six matches on the bounce, the Foxes have their sights firmly set on securing a top-four return this season. One man who has continued to spearhead their stellar run has been attacking talisman and Premier League-leading marksman, Jamie Vardy. Once again finding the net on the South Coast last time out, the 32-year-old already has 12 top-flight goals this season, including scoring in each of his last five appearances on the spin.

As for the visitors, while the mood around the King Power continues to soar, the same cannot be said for Everton. Suffering a 2-0 defeat at home to relegation scrappers Norwich last weekend, Head Coach Marco Silva was booed off by the Goodison Park faithful and his position is becoming more untenable by the week. Despite spending over £100million over the summer, the Toffees open the weekend down in 16th and they have now recorded just a pair of victories since the 1st of September. Also now losing four of their last five matches outside of Merseyside, it appears that it could be yet another long afternoon on the road for the one-time Watford boss.
