Leicester 11/10 to beat Newcastle and over 1.5 goals in Friday’s Premier League clash

Competition: Premier League

Market: Leicester win and over 1.5 goals

Odds: 11/10 @ Bet 365

With the chance to carry on what is becoming a very bright ending to the campaign, Leicester will welcome Newcastle to the King Power Stadium on Friday.

Starting with the hosts, putting in another impressive display in their 4-1 win away at Huddersfield last weekend, Leicester are really enjoying a new lease of life under Brendan Rodgers. Now enjoying a four-match winning run in the top flight and with one eye on bring European football to the King Power, it has been their form in the final third really starting to catch the eye. With leading goalscorer Jamie Vardy now scoring seven goals in his last six appearances, the Foxes have scored 11 goals on their winning run and have also now won their last three matches in Leicestershire.

As for the visitors, slumping to a 1-0 loss at home to Crystal Palace last weekend, many around St. James’ will be believing that Newcastle have slipped back to their old ways. Suffering a pair of defeats against the Eagles and Arsenal, it has been their form on the road giving Rafa Benitez the biggest headache. Yet to win any of their matches away from the North East in 2019, the Magpies have remarkably recorded just two Premier League away victories since April 2018. With Leicester picking up a 2-0 win the last time the two sides met, we’re backing a similar result on Friday.
