Premier League holders Leicester City are wrapping up a deal to sign Genk midfielder Wilfred Ndidi, France Football has quoted Belgian media as saying.
While largely impressing in their maiden Champions League campaign, the Foxes have been quite disappointing on domestic stage, so no wonder they are in the market for winter reinforcements.
According to reports, Leicester City are set to announce the first signing of the January transfer window as they are believed to have agreed to sign Racing Genk starlet Wilfred Ndidi.
The Foxes will reportedly pay €18 million for the 19-year-old footballer who has been voted as one of the most promising footballers in the Belgian league.
Capable of operating as a centre-back or a holding midfielder, Ndidi has so far made 60 league outings for Racing Genk, scoring 4 goals in the process.
He has been especially impressive in the 2016/2017 Europa League campaign, netting 2 times in 11 starts.
