Leicester agree fee for Danny Ward

According to Sky Sports, Leicester City have agreed a £10 million fee for Liverpool, goalkeeper Danny Ward. The 25-year-old has been with Liverpool since 2012 when he made the switch from boyhood club Wrexham, although in that time, he’s spent the majority of his career out on loan. Now, though, it seems as if the Foxes see him as potential competition for Kasper Schmeichel – as opposed to a direct replacement, despite what many recent reports are suggesting.

Ward is set to take part in a medical in the next few days, which will also involve him agreeing to personal terms. After so many years of fading into the background with the Reds, it’ll be interesting to see what he’ll be able to do when offered a complete change of pace.

The Foxes are coming off the back of a season in which they finished 9th in the Premier League, picking up 47 points in the process.
