Leicester boss coy on Ben Arfa link

Leicester City manager Claude Puel has refused to rule out a January move for Paris Saint-Germain reject Hatem Ben Arfa.

The 30-year-old is almost certain to leave the Saints in the upcoming transfer window as he is not in the first team plans of head coach Unai Emery.

And the man who coached him at Nice when Ben Arfa bagged 17 goals in 34 league outings could now offer him an escape route from Paris.

Claude Puel recently took over the reigns at Leicester City and this is what he said when asked whether he would make a move on his former player.

“First, I want to get to know the potential of my squad and find out what I can discover,” Puel explained to L’Equipe.

“If it is necessary to make the adjustments, we will see whether it is possible.”

The good news is that Ben Arfa will be out of contract in June, meaning he will be available on a cut-price deal in January.
