Leicester City are interested in signing Eddie Nketiah from Arsenal in the summer transfer window, according to Football Transfers. The report has claimed that Leicester are not worried about paying the transfer fee and the wages needed to get a deal done for Nketiah if they get promoted from the Championship to the Premier League at the end of the season.
Crystal Palace and Brentford are also keen on Nketiah. Arsenal are ready to offload the 24-year-old England international striker at the end of the season. Nketiah is a peripheral figure in the Gunners’ team and is not a regular in the starting lineup. The striker has made 10 starts and 16 substitute appearances in the Premier League for the North London club this season, scoring five goals and providing two assists in the process.
Arsenal are at the top of the Premier League table at the moment with 71 points from 31 matches, level on points with second-placed Liverpool. Meanwhile, Leicester currently find themselves at the top of the Championship table with 88 points from 41 matches, a point ahead of second-placed Leeds United, who have played 42 games.
