Leicester City are interested in signing Facundo Buonanotte from Brighton and Hove Albion in the summer transfer window, according to Fabrizio Romano. The well-known and well-respected journalist has claimed that Leicester have agreed a deal with Premier League rivals Brighton over a loan deal for Buonanotte.
Romano wrote on X: “Leicester City agree deal to sign Facundo Buonanotte on loan from Brighton.
“Despite reports of Feyenoord, #LCFC were working in background and got the deal done with Brighton. It will be loan with NO buy option clause, as @TomCollomosse reports.”
Buonanotte has been on the books of Brighton since January 2023 when he joined Rosario Central. The Argentina international can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a winger. The 19-year-old scored three goals and gave one assist in 17 starts and 10 substitute appearances in the Premier League last season. Buonanotte also made two starts and three substitute appearances in the UEFA Europa League and scored one goal in three FA Cup matches for the Seagulls last season.
