Premier League champions Leicester City are ready to rekindle their interest in Sporting CP star Adrien Silva, according to manager Claudio Ranieri.
The Foxes were on the verge of recruiting the highly rated footballer in the summer transfer window, only for the deal to fail to materialise.
However, it would appear as though Leicester City will make a fresh assault on the 27-year-old in the January transfer window.
“We are following many players. Adrien is a great player, why not (try and sign him)?”, Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri told RTP ahead of the Champions League fixture against FC Porto, where the Foxes are 11/8 to emerge victorious.
Adrien Silva has spent his entire career up to date at Estadio Jose Alvalade, except for loan spells with Academica and Maccabi Haifa.
He has long been one of key members of the squad and has so far scored 28 goals in 139 Primeira Liga appearances for the Lions.
Adrien Silva impressed playing for Portugal at the Euro 2016 finals, starting four games as the Selecao went on to claim the coveted trophy.
