According to a recent report from Football Insider, Leicester City are interested in going after Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita.
In recent years Keita has been unable to lock down a consistent place in the starting XI for the Reds, partially due to a deluge of injuries. Last night, in Liverpool’s Champions League clash against Real Madrid, Keita failed to shine and manager Jurgen Klopp appeared to be visibly frustrated with him.
The belief is that Leicester could get him for a relatively cheap price during the summer transfer window and given his recent performances, that could be seen as a necessary evil for Liverpool.
Keita is clearly a talented midfielder and has the potential to do some serious damage in the Premier League, but actually being able to put together a consistent run of fitness has been one of his biggest downfalls ever since arriving at Anfield.
In this potential deal, that’s something Leicester have to consider.
