Claudio Ranieri is targeting a new addition to his striking force this winter.
The Foxes have been linked with Southampton’s Pelle this week, but according to fresh reports from France Claudio Ranieri has tabled a bid for AC Milan’s M’Baye Niang.
L’Equipe reports that the Premier League club have offered €16 million for the 21-year-old forward, who has made 14 appearances for the Serie A giants this term, scoring five goals in the process.
The talented youngster has recently scored a brace against Sampdoria and he is regarded as one of the Europe’s hot prospects.
M’Baye Niang’s contract expires in 2019, but the player could be given the green ligh to change clubs as Sinisa Mihajlovic has plenty of attacking options.
Should Niang arrives to Leicester City he would be the fourth attacker on their books, as Foxes already have Jamie Vardy, Leonardo Ulloa and Shinji Okazaki upfront.
Claudio Ranieri is, however, aware that he will need more firepower and fresh blood in the attack if he wants to make the final push and keep his team’s title bid alive.
