Leicester in for Iheanacho

Leicester City are preparing a £25m move for Manchester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho, according to the Telegraph.

The East Midlands club are ready to spend big this summer as they look to improve on last season’s twelfth place finish, which followed their surprise title win twelve months earlier.

Iheanacho has been told he can move on this summer after only starting five Premier League games under Pep Guardiola last term though he did notch up twenty-nine appearances in all competitions, scoring seven goals.

Crystal Palace, Everton and West Ham United have also been linked with a move for the twenty year old, who netted as Nigeria beat Togo in a World Cup qualifier earlier this month.

That strike took his international tally to six in just nine appearances while he was even more prolific for the Under 17s, for whom he won the Golden Ball at the U17 World Cup in 2013.
