According to a recent report from Sky Sports, Leicester have held talks with Ryan Bertrand’s representatives and could soon offer him a contract.
Bertrand is now a free agent after leaving Southampton and is believed to be one of a few different full backs that Leicester will be going after during the summer transfer window. Brendan Rodgers also likes the look of Robin Gosens from Atalanta and Nuno Mendes of Sporting Lisbon, with Bertrand being viewed as the outside bet.
Bertrand, 31, is in search of a new club after recently leaving the Saints at the end of the season. Some have questioned whether or not his age is going to serve as the biggest roadblock for Leicester in these uncertain times, with Rodgers usually going for youth over experience.
Still, he knows the Premier League like the back of his hand and could prove to be a really useful squad member.
