Leicester keen on Deeney

Leicester City have launched a £20m bid for Watford striker Troy Deeney, according to the Mirror.

The Hornets have rejected the Foxes’ initial offer, though a second bid is expected after the 2016 Premier League Champions made the twenty-nine year old their top transfer target this summer.

The East Midlands side attempted to sign Deeney for £25m twelve months ago before he put pen to paper on a new five year deal.

However, they are keen on securing his services this time around and are hoping that Marco Silva, who is preparing for his first season in charge at Vicarage Road will be willing to do business.

Deeney signed for Watford from Walsall in the summer of 2010 and has since racked up over three hundred appearances for the club in all competitions, scoring one hundred and six goals and was part of the squad that achieved promotion to the top flight in 2015.
