The Mail Online understand that Leicester City are keen to fend off increasing interest for midfielder James Maddison.
Both Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur have been strongly linked with a move for the England U21 international, though the Foxes aren’t ready to let him go without a fight, despite a proposed fee of £60m being mooted.
Maddison moved to the King Power Stadium from Norwich City a year ago and appeared in all but two of his sides league games last term.
He also netted seven goals – a tally only bettered by top scorer Jamie Vardy while in his final season with the Canaries he was named their Player of the Year and made the PFA Championship Team of the Season.
He has been capped six times for England’s U21s while he received his first senior call up back in October, though he is yet to win his first cap.
