Leicester lead race for Braga winger

The 23-year-old Braga winger Rafa Silva is a target for Premier League champions Leicester City, Portuguese media outlet Abola has learned.

Another client of super-agent Jorge Mendes, Rafa Silva has been linked with a move to the Premier League for some time with Liverpool reportedly being linked with the highly rated midfielder. What is more, Portugal giants Porto and Benfica were also keen on the player, but the duo gave up the chase as they are unwilling to pay the asking price set for the player.

Rafa Silva has a €20 million release clause with Jorge Mendes owning 50% of the player’s economic rights and with Foxes willing to go the full length to sign the talented winger Mendes is likely to pocket a substantial amount should a deal go through this summer.

Portuguese international Rafa Silva has scored six goals in his 27 league games for Braga last season, while he also managed 3 goals and 4 assists in Europa League.
