Leicester looking at Atalanta striker

Atalanta are having a season that we could be talking about in years to come. The Italian side won 5-4 on aggregate in Coppa Italia after defeating Fiorentina and will be participating in the final of the competition for the first time since 1996. Also, Serie A standings are very interesting as well, as Atalanta are sitting in fifth, level on points with the fourth-placed AC Milan. If they manage to climb one position in the remaining five rounds, Atalanta will be making a debut in Champions League.

And while someone would have expected their players to attract a lot of interest, for now the most interested will have Andrea Petagna, Atalanta striker on loan at SPAL. It seems like Duvan Zapata and other Atalanta strikers are not being chased as much as Petagna, and Leicester City have been scouting him for a while now. According to The Guardian, Foxes have watched the 23-year-old and they might be sending an offer of £17m.

Petagna has scored 14 goals in 31 Serie A matches during the 2018-19 campaign.
