According to a recent report from Sky Sports, Leicester City are starting to push for a quick deal with Monaco that would see them secure the permanent signing of Youri Tielemans. There is expected to be some kind of bidding war for the Belgian midfielder over the course of the next few months, which isn’t exactly something that they’d want to engage in. He is currently on loan with the Foxes and has made quite the impression this season, to the point where he has impressed new manager Brendan Rodgers. Of course, Leicester are going to face some stiff competition in the race to sign him, with Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur both wanting to make a move.
Tielemans could wind up being an absolute game changer during the next few years if Leicester are able to keep hold of him, but if they can’t, then he’ll still be a force to be reckoned with in the top flight.
