Leicester priced out of move for Andre Almeida

Portuguese daily newspaper Record claims that Leicester City have cooled interest in Benfica full-back Andre Almeida.

The Foxes were hoping to recruit the 27-year-old this winter, but they appear to have been priced out of the move.

While Leicester City were looking to bid around €5 million, they were informed by Benfica it would take at least €15 million to prize the defender away from Estadio da Luz.

This has seen the Foxes end their interest in the player and will now turn their attention elsewhere.

Despite starting his career as a central midfielder, Almeida has impressed at right-back in recent years, and he managed 2 goals in 18 league games this season.
