Premier League champions Leicester City have returned with an improved bid for Anderlecht defender Kara Mbodji, according to the local reports.
The Foxes are keen to add depth into their squad in order to improve their domestic and international exploits in the second part of the season and Claudio Ranieri is in the first place eyeing defensive reinforcements.
Currently in 15th place in the standings, the champions have thus far shipped whopping 37 goals and improvements to the back line would be more than welcome.
Leicester City were reported to have sent an initial £7.5 million offer which has been previously rejected by the Belgium powerhouse.
Anderlecht are keen to get £13 million for the Senegal international centre-back and Ranieri is believed to have sanctioned a fresh bid.
The 27-year-old defender has come under the Leicester’s radar after Sassuolo rejected an approach for defender Francesco Acerbi, although the Foxes were also linked with Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic.
