Leicester City apparently face a tough battle to keep Youri Tielemans, currently loaned in from AS Monaco, on a permanent basis.
According to the Mirror, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are both interested in the versatile midfielder, but Leicester won’t be giving up just yet. There was no option to buy included in the loan deal, meaning that the Foxes would have to strike a completely separate deal to tie the 21-year-old down permanently.
Monaco, however, do not want to rush things. Quite understandably so, given the interest coming from elsewhere. They will want to see who the highest bidder would be and how much would they bid, before deciding what offer to accept. A sum of £40 million has widely been mentioned as one that would suffice for the Ligue 1 side to let Tielemans go, and that would mean breaking the club record for the Foxes.
However, Leicester Mercury report that the 2015/16 Premier League winners would look to include Adrien Silva, who went in the other direction when Tielemans came in January, in any potential deal.
