Leicester City have rejected a second bid from Nottingham Forest for Wes Morgan, according to Sky Sports.
The Reds had an initial £1millon offer turned down by their East Midlands rivals, with their recent bid believed to be around £500,000 more.
The 29 year old made the short journey to the King Power Stadium eighteen months ago, and was recently named both Player of the Year and Player’s Player of the Year at the Foxes end of season awards.
He was also given the club captaincy ahead of a campaign which ended with a Championship play-off semi-final defeat to Watford.
Nottingham-born Morgan made over 400 appearances for Forest having graduated from the clubs academy, and made his debut for the Reds against Port Vale almost ten years ago.
Billy Davies is keen to be reunited with the defender, with the former European Champions having resolved the financial difficulties that lead to his sale following the arrival of the Al Hasawi family last July.
