According to a recent report from Bild, RB Leipzig are set to make another contract offer to Timo Werner. The popular forward’s current deal is set to expire during next year’s summer transfer window, with many fans wondering whether or not he’ll end up going to Bayern Munich. Bayern want to wait until next summer in order to try and get him on a free, but Leipzig want to remove that possibility. They want to add in a £45 million buyout clause in order to convince the German sensation to sign on the dotted line, but of course, nobody really knows what he’s going to do one way or another.
He’s already established himself as a legitimate, world class forward, but in order to take his career to the next level, he needs to take that next step.
If he doesn’t, then he could look back on this in a few years and wonder: what if.
