Leixoes Matosinhos have defended their Liga Sagres lead with a 1-2 victory at Rio Ave on Friday.

Wesley put Leixoes ahead after 35 minutes but Rio Ave’s Rogerio Matias levelled shortly before the break.

The away side would secure the three points though as Bruno China netted the winner on 67 minutes.

Leixoes have 22 points from nine games and only Benfica could stay within one point if they manage to beat Academica de Coimbra on Sunday.
