(GSM) – Bayern München’s Christian Lell has made a switch to relegated Bundesliga side Hertha BSC on a one-year deal for an undisclosed fee.
The 25-year-old defender has signed a contract, including an option for a further two years if the club regain their top-flight status in the upcoming season.
The move comes after the defender, who has played 91 Bundesliga matches for Bayern München and Köln, had been on the verge of joining Stoke City last season.
Hertha BSC general manager Michael Preetz told the club’s official website: “Christian Lell is a fantastic solution for our right full-back position.
“He is a young player, but still experienced enough to be a great help for us with his speed and elegance.”
