Lennon joins Everton on loan

Everton have signed Aaron Lennon on loan from Tottenham Hotspur for the rest of the season, according to Sky Sports.

The winger has played in less than half of Spurs’ league games so far this season, and has been at White Hart Lane for the past nine-and-a-half years.

During his time in North London, he has racked up three hundred and sixty-four appearances in all competitions, scoring thirty goals and was part of the squad the won the League Cup in 2008.

Internationally, he has won twenty-one caps for England and appeared in both the 2006 and 2010 World Cup finals in Germany and South Africa respectively.

He joins an Everton side who ended an eight game winless streak with victory at Crystal Palace at the weekend.

He could make his debut in Saturday afternoon’s Merseyside derby against Liverpool, where Roberto Martinez’s men can be backed at 21/10 for the win.
