Leonardo and Kaka meet up in Paris; Ibrahimovic thinking about retirement

Leonardo and Kaka meet up in Paris

Paris Saint-Germain have shown interest in Real Madrid playmaker Kaka, according to Canal +.

The Brazilian is reportedly unhappy with the lack of playing time at Santiago Bernabeu and he could be open to January exit.

Jose Mourinho is not too keen on keeping the Brazilian in the squad as Mesut Ozil has been in scintillating form since his arrival from Werder Bremen.

Paris Saint-Germain are looking to take advantage of the situation and they are preparing a January bid for the highly rated midfielder.

The Saints’ sporting director Leonardo has built a very good relationship with the player during his time at Milan and he will try to persuade Kaka into joining Paris Saint-Germain.

The pair reportedly met for a dinner in Paris on Monday to discuss the possible transfer, adding fuel to rumours that Kaka could be on his way out of Bernabeu.

Ibrahimovic thinking about retirement

Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has shocked the footballing world by saying that he could retire from football very soon.

The 30-year-old was an integral part of Milan’s title winning squad last term, but the new season hasn’t started the way he expected.

The Swede missed the start to the season through injury, but has now recovered and is looking to help his national team secure a place at the Euro 2012 finals.

Ibrahimovic, however, admits that he is not enjoying football any more.

“Before football was everything to me,” Ibrahimovic told Sportbladet.

“I did not think about anything else and sometimes I didn’t even go to school so that I could play. Now it is not like that, I’m interested in other things.

“It even takes a great deal of effort for me to play football with my kids in the garden – I now leave it to the babysitter.”

The Sweden international reveals that he could soon retire from football altogether.

“I’m not kidding about my situation. I hate to say it, but I don’t have the same determination as I had before and I enjoyed myself a lot more a few years ago.”

“I won’t be retiring soon, I’ll play on for a while, but I want to retire when I am still at the top. That might not happen, but that is my objective.”

Everton interest in Fiorentina star confirmed

The agent of Fiorentina playmaker Adem Ljajic has confirmed that Everton are one of the clubs interested in his client.

The Serbian midfielder was on the verge of moving to Manchester United in 2009, but the deal fell through and he later moved to Fiorentina.

Ljajic showed a lot of potential at Artemio Franchi, but has lost a starting place this season and is reportedly looking to leave the club in search for first team football.

The 19-year-old was heavily linked with a move to Everton in the past and now his agent has confirmed interest from abroad.

“His future is sensitive. I talked to him about it and he was quiet,” Ljajic’s representative Giorgio Paretti was quoted as saying in talkSPORT.

“It is true teams outside Italy are following him but I prefer not to talk about it and will await what happens.”

Fiorentina could be open to a possibility of loaning Ljajic in January, which would suit Everton well since the Toffees do not seem to have enough money to buy the player outright.
