(GSM) – Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has backed current Rossoneri boss Leonardo to stay on as manager. Galliani claims The Brazilian will still be in charge of Milan next season.
Speculation suggests that the Milan giants will part company with Leonardo over the summer and are keen to find a more experience and well-established manager as they attempt to rekindle their former glories.
Leonardo has, however, done a good job to date with Milan, ensuring that the side remain in the Serie A title race as the season comes down to its final weeks.
And Galliani has now offered his backing to the former Milan winger to stay for the 2010/11 campaign.
“No-one has ever thought about a different coach,” he told Sky Italia prior to Milan’s 3-2 victory over Cagliari on Saturday.
“Leonardo is doing really well. We are playing well in the league, with everyone fighting for the club.”
Galliani added, “Every day we have to listen to these incredible rumors of fantasy.”
