Leroy Sane not leaving in January

Schalke starlet Leroy Sane will not be leaving for greener pastures in the January window, according to his official representative.

The 19-year-old has been a real revelation this season, having developed into an important player for the Miners.

And even though there were quite a few top sides hoping to secure his services in the winter transfer window, it looks as though the youngster will not be moving clubs midway through the season.

Sane’s official representative has made it clear that Sane is perfectly happy at Veltins Arena and ruled out a January exit for his client.

“Schalke are the best place for Leroy. A winter transfer is not an issue. He feels very good at Schalke,” agent Jurgen Milewski told Bild.

After showing a great deal of potential last season, Sane has continued to improve this term, having managed 4 goals and as many assists in 17 Bundesliga appearances.

The youngster is tied to Schalke until June 2019, but everything suggests he will soon be leaving the Miners in favour of joining a top European club.
