Daily Express is reporting that Everton could make a move on Manchester City defender Joleon Lescott.
The Toffees are preparing for life without Sylvain Distin, who, despite still playing at a very high level, is nearing the end of his playing days.
According to Daily Express, the Goodison Park outfit are being linked with a swoop for their former player Joleon Lescott.
The England international has failed to nail down a regular starting berth at Etihad and has admitted that he plans to leave at the end of the current campaign.
He is believed to be interested in a return to Goodison Park, but much will depend on whether David Moyes extends his current contract.
Lescott, who has made a total of 94 Premier League appearances for the Citizens, scoring 7 goals in the process, should be available for mere £5 million in the summer.
