A while ago, we told you something about the most popular Blackjack side bets. Still, we haven’t mentioned much about the ones that are not that common in online casinos. This is not Blackjack for dummies, so we will skip the part where we explain what Blackjack is and how it can be played because we feel that there are more than enough articles about that particular topic.

Additional bets are used to spice things up a bit, so that players do not have to concentrate on beating the dealer, getting 21, or going bust. Most of you probably know a lot about the popular side bets, including 21+3, variations of Pairs, and insurance bets. Still, now we will introduce some of the side bets that are not that common in the game.

Hot 3

For gamers who are still to visit these tables, this is a perfect opportunity to learn more about the side bet in question. According to the rules, the Hot 3 side bet can be made the moment you place your blackjack bet. All wins are based on your first two cards, and the dealer’s up card.

All cards will count as they do in Blackjack, even the Ace, which will count both as 1 and 11. To win, players need to collect from 19 to 21 points in the first three cards, and there are some variations when it comes to how much you get paid if, for example, you get three sevens, a suited 21, 21 points, 20 points, or 19 points.

Lucky Lucky

The side bet in question is quite similar to Hot 3, and it depends on the first two cards of the player and the dealer’s upcard. However, there are some differences when it comes to paytables since we have Suited 7-7-7, Suited, 6-7-8, Unsuited 7-7-7, Unsuited 6-7-8, a Suited total of 21, Unsuited total of 21, a total of 20 and total of 19.

Royal Match

Introduced both with single and multi-deck blackjack variants, Royal Match is one of those side bets that are not that common but can be found in plenty of online casinos. The trick is to land the first two cards of the same suit, and here you can win a 5:2 payout. If you get a King or a Queen with the same suit, you will be paid 25:1. As for the suited Blackjack, players will receive a payout of 5:1. These payouts are usually used for Multi-deck variants. In a single deck Blackjack variant, payouts are lower, with 3:1 payouts for suited cards, which is also called the Easy Bet, and 10:1 payout for the Royal Match.

Lucky Ladies

If you see the title of this side bet, you could presume that it has to include Queens, but you would be only partially right. The goal is to get the first two cards so that their amount is exactly 20. It would be even better if those two cards are Queens of Hearts, which will not be that easy to accomplish. If you do manage to land such two cards, you will enjoy a mouthwatering win of 1,000:1, so the prize equals the risk, but only if two Queens come with 21 coming from the dealer’s hand.

If the dealer does not have a blackjack, the winning amount will drop to 200:1. If we go further down, players can get a 25:1 payout for a matching suit and rank or 20:1 for the suited 20. Finally, for any total of 20 players will win a 4:1 payout.

Super 7s

Here, you should concentrate on getting only sevens, since every 7 in your hand will secure a payout. If you are lucky enough to get a Lucky Seven as your first card, the win will begin at 3:1. New sevens will further increase the winnings, while suited sevens secure the biggest payouts. For one pair of suited sevens, you can get 100 to 1. Three sevens will get you 500:1, while three suited sevens will result in a mind-blowing payout of 5,000:1.

Over 13, Under 13

The final side bet we will mention in this text is Over 13, Under 13, and it is pretty straightforward since the title explains so much. Such a bet can be found mostly in 6 and 8 deck Blackjack tables. Players need to bet on their hand to be either higher or lower than 13. This mostly counts on your hunch. Of course, it is important to remember that if you get 13 in your hand, it will be considered a loss.
