Spanish club Levante have announced on their official website that they have signed striker Obafemi Martins.
The Nigerian has arrived on a free transfer and penned a two-year deal with an option for another year.
The 27-year-old arrives to the club as a replacement for Arouna Kone, who joined Wigan earlier this summer.
Obafemi Martins began his career at Inter and went on to score 28 goals in 85 Serie A appearances before leaving for Newcastle in the summer of 2006.
The Nigerian enjoyed three good seasons with the Magpies, but was sold to Wolfsburg in July 2009.
The striker left the Wolves after spending just one year in Germany and has since been playing for Rubin Kazan.
In total, Martins scored just 3 goals in 20 Russia Premier League appearances and is now hoping a move to Levante will resurrect his career.
