Bayer Leverkusen have confirmed they are in negotiations to sign Bayern Munich duo Emre Can and Mitchell Weiser.
The two clubs have long ago established excellent relationship, with Toni Kroos the latest Bayern player to profit from a loan spell at Bay Arena.
Bayer Leverkusen are now showing interest in youngsters Mitchell Weiser and Emre Can, who could both join die Werkself on a six-month loan in the January transfer window.
“There are two young players who are very interesting to us,” Leverkusen chief told Express.
“They match our philosophy and our profile. We are working to see whether we can reach an agreement with Bayern.”
Emre Can, 18, is a defensive midfielder who was handed a first team debut in the DFB Pokal at the start of the season, although he has already made 25 appearances for Bayern’s reserve team.
Mitchell Weiser, on the other hand, plays on the right wing and he joined the Bavarians from Koln in the summer of 2012.
Both players have also impressed playing for Germany youth sides and they featured alongside each other at the Under 17 World Cup in Mexico.
