Bundesliga outfit Bayer Leverkusen believe they can wrap up the deal that would see Chile star Charles Aranguiz arrive at Bay Arena.
The 26-year-old has rejected an opportunity to join Leicester City as he prefers a move to Bayer Leverkusen and it appears an agreement will be reached soon.
Die Werkself admit they will fight tooth and nail to get their man, even if they have yet to strike terms with Internacional.
“We discovered the player in January and will continue to fight for him. I firmly believe that Aranguiz will play next season with us in Leverkusen,” Leverkusen chief Michael Schade was quoted as saying in Bild.
It is believed that Internacional are holding out for €15 million for their prized asset, but they would probably accept an offer in the region of €13 million.
Charles Aranguiz, who has been a key player for Chile over the last couple of years, is clearly looking to follow in Arturo Vidal’s footsteps, as the new Bayern Munich star made a name for himself at Bay Arena after joining from Colo Colo in 2007.
