Bundesliga giants Bayer Leverkusen are being linked with a late move on Liverpool stopper Mamadou Sakho, L’Equipe understands.
The 25-year-old has lost his place in the starting line-up at Anfield and did not even make the match squad for team’s opening two Premier League fixtures.
Sakho is worried about the situation as he wants to ensure to be in France squad for the upcoming European Championship and he is desperate to leave in search of first team football.
And while his suitors AS Roma have decided to go for Antonio Rudiger, the latest reports suggest that Bayer Leverkusen are prepared to offer the Frenchman an escape route from Anfield.
Die Werkself are readying a €10 million proposal for his services and chances are Liverpool would seriously consider such an offer.
Mamadou Sakho has had mixed success since arriving to the club from Paris Saint-Germain, making a total of 34 Premier League appearances.
