Bayer Leverkusen have announced on their official website that they have signed Sevilla goalkeeper Andres Palop.
The experienced keeper has signed a one-year deal with the Bay Arena outfit after his contract with Sevilla expired.
Palop arrives at Bayer Leverkusen as a back-up for first choice shot-stopper Bernd Leno, with the talented German getting the opportunity to work alongside a hugely experienced Spaniard.
Andres Palop came through the youth ranks at Valencia, but only made a total of 43 league appearances for los Che since being promoted to the first team set-up in 1997.
He went on to leave Valencia for Sevilla in the summer of 2005 and went on to make 215 La Liga appearances for los Rojiblancos.
The 39-year-old won two La Liga trophies with Valencia, two Copa del Rey titles with Sevilla and a total of three Europa Leagues. He was also member of the Spain squad that won the Euro 2008.
