German media outlet Sport Bild has learned that Bayer Leverkusen are ready to entertain offers for Mexican striker Javier Hernandez.
The 28-year-old quickly developed into a key member of the squad at Bay Arena, but he has been going through a very rough patch of late.
It’s now been 1,095 minutes since Hernandez last scored for Bayer Leverkusen, but the poor form is not the only problem.
Namely, Chicharito has been criticised for being too selfish and not dedicated to the team’s cause, while he has shown no interest in socialising with his teammates and even missed the club’s Christmas party.
Hence, Bayer Leverkusen chiefs have decided that Hernandez can leave the club for €25 million in the January transfer window, although they will probably be forced to further lower the asking price due to the fact that his contract expires in June 2018.
There have been no official proposals for the 28-year-old footballer as of yet, but there is plenty of time for his suitors to act.
