English newspaper Metro understands that Borussia Dortmund might agree to sell Robert Lewandowski on the cheap in the January transfer window.
The Millionaires were initially reluctant to cash in on their star player despite the striker’s contract expiring at the end of the current campaign, but they appear to have change their minds.
Metro has suggested that Borussia could agree to sell Lewandowski in January so as to prevent the Pole from joining arch rivals Bayern Munich at the end of the season.
The same source claims that the Poland international can be signed for mere £7 million, which is likely to alert the likes of Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea and Real Madrid.
In spite of the transfer speculation, the 25-year-old has continued with scintillating performances, having scored 10 goals in 16 matches this season.
After narrowly missing out on last year’s trophy, Lewandowski is 4/1 to win the top goalscorer award in German Bundesliga this time out.
