Robert Lewandowski could leave Bayern Munich and join Manchester City next summer, his representative Pini Zahavi has told Sport Bild.
The 33-year-old Polish star is showing no signs of slowing down at this stage of his career. He already has 13 goals and one assist to his name in just 10 matches in all competitions for Bayern this season, and even though many see Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland as the main talking point in the Bundesliga at the moment, Lewandowski continues to show that he can still do the business at least as well as the Norwegian sensation.
There have been reports in recent months suggesting that the experienced striker may be feeling ready for a top-level challenge elsewhere, and these words from Zahavi, if quoted correctly, seem to confirm that. Manchester City are in search of a striker, that much has been clear since they showed great desire to sign Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur this summer.
However, they are happy with Lewadowski at Bayern and as things stand, they have no intention to let him leave any time soon. With his contract not expiring before the summer of 2023, they feel there is no rush to agree a new deal just yet.
