According to a recent report from AS, Robert Lewandowski’s preferred landing spot if he leaves Bayern Munich is Real Madrid.
The belief is that the Polish forward is going to depart from the German giants in 2022 and in doing so, will begin what many believe would be the final phase of his illustrious career. He’s been called one of the best finishers of his generation and given what he’s been continually producing in the last few years, it’s hard to argue against that.
Real are seemingly going to be in the market for another attacker – Kylian Mbappe – next summer, raising some questions as to just how hard in the paint they’re going to go with their squad building.
Lewandowski is the kind of player who wants to thrive regardless of what club he’s at. So while Madrid may be the frontrunners right now, it’ll be interesting to see if his perspective changes.
